Fawley Waterside, New Forest

The Fawley Waterside project aims to transform one of the largest brownfield sites in southern England, which is currently home to the decommissioned Fawley Power Station.

Following the dismantling of the building and its towering chimney, which could be seen for miles, there is now a major opportunity to create a whole new community.

The site has much to offer, with the waterfront where Southampton Water feeds into The Solent on one side, and heading inland, you arrive in the New Forest National Park.

The vision is to transform the site into a thriving residential and commercial waterside community that becomes a destination for employment and leisure activities.

The developer, Fawley Waterside Limited, aims to deliver a scheme that is attractive to both people and commerce. The new sustainable community will provide around 1,500 homes and 2,000 jobs in advanced manufacturing, marine and technology industries, along with cafés, shops, and leisure venues.

There will also be associated infrastructure improvements, including upgrades to the A326.
